Stop 1 - New York City

Just a quick little update. Today has been our last day in New York.
New York City is very different from London, both in good and bad ways. Bad being that it's very claustrophobic because the buildings are so tall and that all the 'small' meals in restaurants are massive! In saying that the sights are really different from home which makes them amazing. Yesterday Amy and I  went to the 9/11 mermorial which was very sad but we were glad to be able to pay our respects. Over our visit we've been to Times Square, Central Park, upper east side, Empire State Building and the rockafella centre. It's all been very interesting, new and exciting.

Sadly we didn't get the chance to go to the Statue of Liberty but as we walked over the Brooklyn bridge, I managed to get a good picture of it on my camera.
Today we headed into the Bronx (which reminds me of Wood Green, Tottenham back home) to go to a hat shop which had been recommend to me - the hat I got is very flashy by the way!

We're not doing much tonight apart from going out for dinner with a friend who is staying in New York over the summer. Tomorrow we are headed off to New Orleans and our bus is at 9am, so we have a very early start!
