Up and coming Hip Hop sensation Samson, released his brand new single 'Friday' last week - September 8th 2013.
Since the release of his debut mix tape, Beautiful Struggle in May of this year Samson's music has sparked major interest in his home town of Coventry. Samson is due to perform on his university tour which starts tomorrow (September 17th) at the Brunel university in London. He will also support UK artist Dappy in Leamington Spa on September 26th. Recently Samson performed to 5,000 people at this years Godiva Festival in Coventry where he performed along side another artist from the label, Pest. As well as his music, Samson and his team launched their very own clothing line at The Princeton Kings which also featured a performance from himself and other up and coming UK acts.
Samson's main inspiration is American Hip Hop legend Tupac. His music has an urban flow which is complemented by the rawness and truth of the lyrics, mostly accounts of his own personal life.
'Friday', which features UK Grime sensation J Spades, is inspired by Ice Cubes film also entitled; Friday. The song is perfect for a chilled out evening with friends, it has a very good vibe and the use of reverb and overall mixes give the song an expansive and large sound. The verses are impressive with a catchy delivery, filled with a clever double entendre and coupled with the intelligent use of metaphors and similes.
