Air Jordan 5's were originally released in February 1990. They were extremely popular despite Michael Jordan never actually wearing them on the court.
Following a retro run in 2006 the slick Grape V's returned for the third time last Saturday (May 4th.) The Air Jordan V Grape's colourway is white, purple and jade green, with a satin tongue showing the air jordan logo in jade green, the logo is also on the heel of the shoe. The shoe has a perforated insert on each side. The Air Jordan V's were featured in NBC's 'The Fresh Prince of Bel Air' worn by Will Smith in the opening credits. Will smith is also seen wearing the Grape 5's in the episode where his friend 'Ice Tray' is visiting him from Philly. He is also seen wearing the white/fire reds in the very first episode. The 'Black Grapes' are set to be released next month. (1/6/13) Using nubuck instead of leather it gives it a fresh feel.
