Ace began rapping in his Junior year at High School; him and his friends would always freestyle over different beats for fun. Whilst on a school trip to Disney Land with the school marching band, his friends encouraged him to start recording his music for other people to hear. Although buying his first microphone at the age of 13, Ace never took the wonderful art of Hip Hop seriously for another 4 years.
Last year he uploaded his first legitimate song 'ESGTS Freestyle' on his soundcloud (https://soundcloud.com/acehenderson) which now has over 15,000 views. He also released the song on his mix tape 'Ace Henderson LP' which features songs such as 'Biddies Only On Insta' 'Guillotine (Wu-Tang) Freestyle' and 'Line Leader.'
Ace prefers to work in his own private space where he records, mixes and engineers his own music as this allows him to get his work done without distraction. His perfectionism manifests itself in the way he works; often keeping things close to his chest until he feels the time is right for the world to hear.
In 2012 Ace released a mix tape entitled 'Freshman 15' which includes songs such as 'Fashion Week' (featuring Huddy) 'Schizo' and 'Broads.' He also released his latest work 'Allen EP' on March 18th 2013; featuring the song 'Try.'
From the absurdly catchy 'Turnah' to the smooth beats of 'What's Good' and the almost De La Soul of 2013 sound of both 'Try' and 'ESGTS Freestyle' Ace's collection of songs have both a retro and relevant up to the moment feel. Here is another young, hard working and talented artist who deserves some recognition!
Ace plans to work on a new project in the Autumn of this year and is looking forward to interacting with the new fans and supporters he will gain.
